I know of only 3-4 other people who have visited Lemmon Lake in the past 5 years. Earlier today I flagged(with orange flag tape) the spot you mentioned which is about 1/2 a mile south of the River Oaks Park parking lot.DallasTrinityTrailshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16787691728343464938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15172790781117660.post-58353443748184780862011-07-10T20:00:04.132-05:002011-07-10T20:00:04.132-05:00My photos show a couple of pinkish blurs (birds) b...My photos show a couple of pinkish blurs (birds) beyond where cropping can make it out. It is possible that they are the Spoonbills noted in this blog. They were at the extreme south end of the lake while I was about at the middle.Geraldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13779075102850411580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15172790781117660.post-45735463250547104422011-07-10T19:57:32.709-05:002011-07-10T19:57:32.709-05:00Entry to Lemmon Lake. If you take the bike trail about halfway down the trail from either end is a place where a tree fell across the bike path and into the briars and brush. It has been cleared but it opened up a way into the trees from the path. Take a stick to brush away cobwebs and sweep ahead for snakes.Geraldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13779075102850411580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15172790781117660.post-54536049902623308532011-07-10T19:53:59.744-05:002011-07-10T19:53:59.744-05:00You inspired my to reach Lemmon Lake last Friday 6...You inspired my to reach Lemmon Lake last Friday 6/8. It was difficult to say the least and it was extremely hot but well worth the effort. Birds seen were Great Egrets (too numerous to count),White Ibis, White Face Ibis, Little Blue Heron, Great Blue Herons, and probable Wood Storks in the trees at the south end of the lake. Thanks for a great day.
